Festivalimpressions 2014 - Thursday, 27.11. - School theatre / School screenings

The play “Mein Leben. Meine Liebe. Meine Ehre?“ (My life. My love. My honour?) from TERRE DES FEMMES and the ensemble of “Mensch:Theater!” was performed at the Gewerbliche Schule Tübingen.

The three actors perform scenes of the everyday life of teenagers with migrant background and pick up on topics as forced marriage, virginity and homosexuality…

It was demonstrated how traditional role models come up against a modern lifestyle and which problems this causes, especially for young girls and women and what possibility of action does exist for them, but also for the young men.
Following this, the scenes were discussed with the students; parts of the scenes were recreated anew with stage directions by the students. In the following work shop the topics were deepened in small groups.
