Irene Jung and Christine Arbogast open the Film Festival |
|
Christine Arbogast shows her delight about the Film Festival and is particularly looking forward to the film “Be My Baby”
TERRE DES FEMMES managing director Christa Stolle talks about the successes in Berlin, for instance the reform of the section of the Federal Criminal Code governing rape and is especially looking forward to meet Meaza Ashenafi. Together they will have several events in Berlin concerning the “International Day NO to violence against women”.
Festival coordinator Kathrin Frenz and Irene Jung are narrating about the highlights of the Film Festival, the films, the guests, the special events…
…and Kathrin Frenz launches the opening film „Schweizer Helden“, a captivating tragicomedy with depth about a women in crisis, who wants to perform Wilhelm Tell by Schiller together with asylum seekers – for them it´s not a far-fetched idea because they see a lot of their own stories in Wilhelm Tell´s fight for freedom. And for the woman in crisis many new perspectives open up which lead her to a newly felt empathy and commitment to solidarity. A film, which is perfect to open the festival week, where we want to reach exactly the same: to motivate for a commitment to solidarity.
Special thanks to the funding providers, sponsors and cooperation partners…
…and of course to the Women’s Worlds team Sanne, Malena, Anna and Nadine (f.l.t.r.) |
