The Women’s Worlds are on a visit at the Geschwister Scholl School (Tübingen) with the film “Difret”* |
||
The
film is based on the true story of the lawyer Meaza Ashenafi from Ethiopia.
She speaks with the students about her work as a women’s rights activist
in Ethiopia, her experiences during her cooperation on the Ethiopian Constitution
and the destiny of young Hirut, whose case is the plot of the film. |
||
She
explains that since the spectacular case, the traditional abduction, rape
and forced marriages have decreased in Ethiopia, but there is still a lot
of work to do to eradicate this harmful tradition entirely. * |
||
The very impressed students enjoy taking pictures with Meaza.* |
||
At the same time the Mathilde Weber School screened the feature film “Be My Baby, | ||
