Gentle

Edina is a successful bodybuilder whose greatest desire is to win the world championship. She is supported by her partner Adam, who has already succeeded in this, but had to end his career due to illness. Edina sacrifices everything for her dream. She trains hard while also taking steroids and nutritional supplements. When she can no longer afford the costs, she sees a way out in prostitution. She becomes increasingly aware of how far apart her goal of becoming a world champion is from her actual needs. GENTLE approaches the phenomenon of bodybuilding with impressive images beyond superficiality and shows mostly hidden abysses. The film derives its above-average authenticity from the real life circumstances of the protagonists, which were incorporated into the screenplay.
