Inspired by Karl Liebknecht’s combative cry \u201cdespite all this!\u201d, the title of this film stands for hope and perseverance in times of oppression. It is precisely this attitude that characterizes the women of Rojava, who are rebuilding their lives in war-torn northern Syria after the reign of terror of ISIS. The film accompanies them as they form communities of solidarity beyond patriarchal structures\u2014in radio studios, workshops, and fields. Preserving traditions such as cooking, weaving, and storytelling is just as important as conquering new freedoms. Fear gives rise to passion, trauma to resistance. A freedom that can only exist in solidarity\u2014despite all this.<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Nach seinem Studium der Soziologie, Publizistik und Ethnologie arbeitete Robert Krieg zun\u00e4chst als Lehrbeauftragter und Soziologe in Forschungsprojekten zu Migration und Marginalisierung. Seit 1983 ist er vorwiegend als Dokumentarfilmer in Europa, Lateinamerika und dem Nahen Osten t\u00e4tig. Er war Dozent in Kuba, leitete Medienprojekte in Pal\u00e4stina und gru\u0308ndete 1997 gemeinsam mit Monika Nolte eine Produktionsgemeinschaft in K\u00f6ln. Krieg ist mehrfach institutionell engagiert, u. a. im Filmbu\u0308ro NW und der AG DOK. Neben Filmen wie Wei\u00dfes Gold ver\u00f6ffentlicht er regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Beitr\u00e4ge in der Graswurzelrevolution.<\/strong><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
