Susan Gluth studied documentary filmmaking at the HFF Munich, where she made L\u2019AMOUR CHEZ TATI in 1999, OSTW\u00c4RTS in 2000, and NULLA SI SA, TUTTO S\u2019IMMAGINA ... SECONDO FELLINI in 2003. Since then, she has been photographing and producing her own films: SHADOWS OF FATE and A REFUGEE CHILDHOOD in 2006, and WASSER UND SEIFE in 2008, which she distributed herself to cinemas in German-speaking countries. Susan also works as a freelance cinematographer for documentary films and has been to Mexico, Guyana, Brazil, China, Israel, Bhutan, Japan, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Kenya, Korea, Namibia, Seychelles, Senegal, Chad, the USA, and Europe. In 2014, PLAYING HOOKY - GETTING OLD IS NOT FOR SISSIES premiered at the Hof Film Festival and will be shown in German cinemas in 2016. Over the last five years, she has been working on the film \u201cURMILA \u2013 f\u00fcr die Freiheit\u201d (URMILA \u2013 for freedom) in Nepal, which will premiere at Hot Docs in Toronto in 2016.<\/strong><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

URMILA – MY MEMORY IS MY POWER celebrated its world premiere at the Berlinale in the \u201cLola at Berlinale\u201d series and was subsequently screened at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival in Toronto and the Nepal America International Film Festival (NAIFF) in the USA. The film has received numerous awards, including the rating \u201cparticularly valuable\u201d from the German Film and Media Evaluation (FBW), First Prize at the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF), the Mayor’s Award, Zakopane, Poland, and Best Documentary at the Nepal America International Film Festival, Washington D.C. The film was nominated for the German Film Award (LOLA) and the German Human Rights Film Award.<\/h5>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
