Arian Vazirdaftari is an Iranian screenwriter and director. His short films include \u201cNOT YET\u201d (2016), winner of the Grand Prix and the NETPAC Award at the Busan International Short Film Festival, and \u201cLIKE A GOOD KID\u201d (2018), which premiered in the Cin\u00e9fondation competition at Cannes. His feature film debut, \u201cWITHOUT HER\u201d (2022), premiered as part of \u201cOrizzonti Extra\u201d in Venice and was later screened in Toronto. He also co-wrote \u201cWORLD WAR III\u201d (2022), which won the Best Film Award in the \u201cOrizzonti\u201d section at Venice and was submitted as Iran\u2019s entry for the Academy Awards. In 2021, he participated in the \u201cBerlinale Talents\u201d and \u201cScript Station\u201d programs. His second feature film, THE NIGHT AREZOU DISAPPEARED (2026), was produced independently and underground in Iran.<\/h5>
