Beim Themenschwerpunkt\u00a0rights & religion\u00a0<\/strong>geht es um den Zusammenhang zwischen Religion und Geschlechtergerechtigkeit, zu dem das Filmfest diese Dokumentarfilme ins Programm genommen hat:<\/p>

AS I WANT – \u00a0<\/strong>Samaher Alqadi, \u00c4gypten \/ Frankreich \/ Norwegen \/ Pal\u00e4stina \/ Deutschland, 2021, 88 Min., Dokumentarfilm<\/h5>

Bei einer Kundgebung zum zweiten Jahrestag der Revolution kommt es auf dem Tahrir-Platz in Kairo 2013 zu heftigen sexuellen \u00dcbergriffen. Daraufhin gehen Scharen von w\u00fctenden Frauen gegen diese massiven sexuellen Angriffe auf die Stra\u00dfe. Regisseurin Samaher Alqadi reiht sich ein und nimmt ihre Kamera mit \u2013 zum Selbstschutz und um den sich formierenden Aufstand zu dokumentieren.<\/p>

W\u00e4hrend sie lernt, wie man k\u00e4mpft, wird sie von dem Versprechen inspiriert, alle Frauen aus den patriarchalen Strukturen zu befreien. Nachdem das kurdische Milit\u00e4r ihre Stadt von ISIS \u00fcbernommen hat, kehrt Hala als Polizistin zur\u00fcck, um andere Frauen in Gefahr zu sch\u00fctzen.<\/p>
