Sunday matinee

In honor of Christa Stolle, co-founder of the festival and outgoing federal executive director of TERRE DES FEMMES in spring 2026. We will show Christa Stolle's favorite film, THE DAY I BECAME A WOMAN (2000) – a haunting triptych about three stages in the life of a woman in Iran. Afterwards, she will look back on unforgettable festival moments and important milestones in women's rights work in a conversation with Irene Jung. During brunch, guests will have the special opportunity to express their appreciation and gratitude to Christa Stolle in person.

Sun, 02.11., 11 a.m.

THE DAY I BECAME A WOMAN

Marziyeh Meshkini, Iran, 2000, 74 min., feature film, original version with English subtitles

Three generations, three stories of Iranian women: Hawa savors her last moments of childhood freedom, a woman defies her male clan in a veiled women’s bike race, and an elderly woman fulfills long-denied dreams.
