Clara Stella Hüneke

Clara Stella Hüneke was born in Frankfurt/Main. While studying video art, she worked as a first assistant director. She made her bachelor documentary film in Athens in 2015 about an occupied car park against the backdrop of the so-called ‘crisis in Greece’. The protagonists of the film are: Activists, neighbours, drug users. The film was shown throughout Europe, from the Kunsthalle Wien to the Kyiv Biennale. She worked as a junior producer at Vice Germany until she began her directing documentary studies at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2018. As part of her studies, she realised further short films, including her animated film ‘auf bald, deine Clara’, which was shown at the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film and many other festivals and was a preparation for SISTERQUEENS. She currently lives and works as a director and author in Berlin. SISTERQUEENS is her diploma film which opened the CineKindl section at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN and got an honorable mention. She is currently working on further documentaries and her feature film debut.
