Lisa Jilg was born in Munich in 1995. She gained her first experience in the film industry during a photography internship at the Munich Film Academy. After graduating from school, she dedicated herself to analog photography, shot her first short films and worked as a camera assistant for television productions. Since September 2018, she has been studying image design/cinematography at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Her scenic short film WÜRDENBEWAHRERIN was nominated for the German Short Film Award 2022. For VENA she received the Michael Ballhaus Prize as part of the First Steps Award 2024.
