20th Women's Worlds Film Festival 28.10 -04.11.2020

From 28 October to 4 November 2020, the 20th Filmfest FrauenWelten took place for the first time at the cinema in the Kulturbrauerei Berlin and online, following its move from Tübingen to Berlin. Thirty-one short films, feature films and documentaries from 30 countries on the global situation of women’s rights were shown. Twelve experts, directors and actors were present for discussions after the films and for roundtable talks. A total of over 2,400 guests attended online and at the cinema in the Kulturbrauerei. The main themes of this year’s festival were: Forced marriage and early marriage Equality in the workplace Domestic and sexual violence against women. A highlight of this year’s festival was the discussion round on ‘Gender equality in acting’ with Sheri Hagen, Barbara Rohm, Nina Hoss and Sabrina Kürzinger.
