On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, the 21st Women’s Worlds Film Festival by TERRE DES FEMMES will open with a German premiere: Susanna Nicchiarelli’s biopic MISS MARX.
The feature film is about Karl Marx’s youngest daughter and will be presented in the evening on the big screen in Berlin and online throughout Germany. In her film MISS MARX, the Italian director Susanna Nicchiarelli traces the life of Karl Marx’s youngest daughter. As one of the first women to combine the issues of feminism and socialism, Eleanor (Romola Garai) takes part in the workers’ struggles and is committed to women’s rights and the abolition of child labor.
MISS MARX celebrated its world premiere in 2020 in competition at the 77th Venice International Film Festival.
