Author Sorel Malkow retreats to a remote country estate to make faster progress on her new novel. The thriller is about her own traumatic experiences with domestic violence. As work on the manuscript progresses, strange and disturbing events begin to accumulate. At one point, Sorel is certain that a man is stalking her. Does the intruder know her memory? The line between nightmare and reality becomes more and more blurred. HOUSE OF SILENCE vividly traces how grueling experiences of violence can be in the long run and what devastating traces they can leave even years later. For this, a perspective was chosen that is unusual and worth seeing.
