Shortly before the election, a mysterious virus breaks out in Germany targetting only men. The virus initially triggers sexual arousal in them and ultimately leads to death. When the chancellor also falls ill, Anita and Sarah from the women’s party see their chance. They use the crisis to take power and implement their political visions of ecology, equality, sustainability and radical system change. But when a vaccine is developed that could contain the virus, the question arises: should the male gender be saved at all? This political comedy, based on the novel by Robert Merle, raises provocative questions about power, equality and feminism.
