Irene von Alberti is a director, author and producer based in Berlin. As co-founder of the
Filmgalerie 451, she offers a platform for artistic films that are unusual and courageous in form and content.
and courageous. Her directorial work includes PAUL BOWLES – HALBMOND, a film adaptation of three short stories by the
short stories by American cult author Paul Bowles with co-director Frieder Schlaich, an episode of the omnibus film

novel by the French writer Robert Merle. As a producer, she has realized films by Robert Schwentke, Omer
Fast, Monika Treut, Angela Schanelec, Elfi Mikesch and others. She is a member of various film festival juries
and a member of the German and European Film Academy and Pro Quote Film.
