Svenja Vanhoefer

Svenja Vanhoefer (*1994 in Essen) studied theater, literature and media studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, where she worked as an assistant director

she worked as an assistant director at various theaters such as the Residenztheater, Kammerspiele and in the independent theater scene before discovering the versatility of the film industry.

From 2021 to 2024, she studied production with a specialization in “Executive and Line Producing” at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, where she was in charge of several film projects. Her graduation film VENA, which was made in co-production with the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Neue Bioskop, SWR and HR, will be released in German cinemas by Weltkino in November 2024. VENA won the prestigious First Steps Award evening-length feature film, the Michael Ballhaus Award and the Producer Award German Cinema Productions at Filmfest Hamburg in early October 2024.

Svenja Vanhoefer was a participant in the renowned Masterclass of the Film Academy at UCLA in Los Angeles and a scholarship holder of the VFF-Verwertungsgesellschaft der Film- und Fernsehproduzenten 2023.
